In recent years, the Folsom Pro Rodeo, a cherished local tradition, struggled to attract overnight stays. Recognizing this, Visit Folsom took a proactive approach for 2024 by partnering with Ripe well in advance. They targeted prime feeder markets with a value-add package that included rodeo tickets, wine passes, and paddleboard rentals when travelers booked a stay. The campaign led to a 300% increase in stays over the previous year and demonstrated the impact of Ripe’s tools and targeted marketing to the DMO’s board. This collaboration transformed a regional event into a multi-day tourism experience with strategic marketing and an enticing value-add.

Our package highlighted our easy access to outdoor recreation, foothill wineries and one of the only rodeos in the Sacramento market. This resulted in a big increase in overnight stays compared to the previous year.
