California International Marathon 2023

Since 1983, the California International Marathon (CIM) has drawn thousands to Folsom, California, but Visit Folsom struggled to fully measure its economic impact. Partnering with Ripe, they were able to add a “Stay in Folsom” button on the CIM website, linking travelers to a custom Ripe search engine created by Visit Folsom. This allowed them to track and collect hotel bookings, revenue, and visitor demographics. The results of our partnership were sold-out hotels during the event weekend, custom welcome packets for travelers, and a better understanding of CIM’s economic impact—empowering more targeted marketing and better visitor experiences.

Ripe has been invaluable in helping us measure the true impact of the California International Marathon. We can now see exactly how the event contributes to our local economy and provide a better experience for our visitors.
