Visit Salt Lake uses the Ripe-powered white-label hotel booking engine to allows visitors a simple and informative way to search, compare, and book lodging options across Salt Lake County at more than 165 locations. While booking engines are not new to destination websites, Visit Salt Lake’s booking site requires no booking fee, commission, or cost to participating Salt Lake County lodging properties.  

Using the Ripe platform, can bundle additional travel products with lodging reservations. These travel extras could include activity and ski pass products such as the Visit Salt Lake Connect Pass, Ski City Super Pass, Salt Lake Brewery Pass and Visit Salt Lake Experiences, products to enhance and ideally extend the visitors’ Salt Lake stay. 

Visit Salt Lake is now expanding the engine’s use towards stimulating travel demand amid COVID-19 by targeting drive market travelers with exclusive offers.

Salt Lake Bound = FREEdom Found

Beginning August 3rd, Visit Salt Lake launched a value-added promotion, “Salt Lake Bound = FREEDOM Found” to encourage travel and overnight lodging bookings. Appreciating that people are most likely to travel and drive shorter distances to visit family, see sites and experience the outdoors, Visit Salt Lake is offering incentives to book overnight stays through its booking engine, also at no cost or fee to participating properties. For reservations of two nights or more, travelers can choose either a $50 Sinclair gas card or two (2) two-day Visit Salt Lake Connect Passes that can be redeemed for admission at 16 different attractions across the Salt Lake area.
