Travel Reservation Platform Gets Complete Makeover
Tech company RootRez unveils new name and branding as Ripe
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah-based B2B travel technology company RootRez has revealed an extensive brand refresh — including changing its name to Ripe. The overhaul includes a new logo, revamped website, and updated messaging for their clients and partners and marks the first rebranding effort since the company’s founding in 2015. Ripe has since grown tremendously, helping tourism organizations drive real conversions and demonstrate the impact their marketing efforts make in the community by integrating a booking platform within the destinations’ websites.
Ripe Founder & CEO Jason Linder commented, “Ripe elevates Destination Marketing Organizations’ relevance in their communities with trackable ROI through our platform, following the conversion of trip planners to trip bookers. Embedding a booking engine within the destination website was ‘low-hanging fruit’ to better service travelers, promote lodging partners, and measure marketing efforts.”
The need to succinctly demonstrate the company’s value to its clients and partners was central to its rebranding. “Both the name Ripe and the visual design were developed to suggest a sense of opportunity, just waiting to be harvested,” says Camden Bernatz, the Brand & Campaign Strategy Manager at Relic, the marketing agency behind the rebrand. “We want clients to realize how Ripe better connects destinations and local lodging partners to their marketing efforts, yielding a valuable return.”
An aspect that won’t change with the rebrand is the company’s primary function and is expanding its available services. New for 2023, they will offer co-branded micro-sites, allowing Ripe’s tourism clients to power lodging bookings for their local event and attraction partners. “Now any event or attraction can become its own hyper-local online travel agency, resulting in improved traveler service while keeping money local and increasing bookings and attribution for our clients,” says Linder.
In October 2022, Ripe acquired $1.8 million in seed funding to expand its product and service offerings and meet growing demand. To see Ripe’s new look and learn more about their services, visit BookRipe.com. The full site is set to launch in Quarter 2, 2023.
